BRINDISI TALKS REAL ISSUES IN FIRST DEBATE WHILE TENNEY PLAYS POLITICS

Anthony Brindisi emerged as the clear winner of the Congressional candidates debate hosted by the Rome Area Chamber of Commerce and the Professional and Business Women of Rome earlier today. While Brindisi engaged with the real issues of the district and answered every question, his opponent Claudia Tenney showed a blatant disregard for both the facts and the questions at hand.

“The difference between Claudia Tenney and I couldn’t be clearer,” said Brindisi. “I focused on the issues, explaining my plans to protect Social Security and Medicare, strengthen our public schools, and create jobs in Upstate New York. On the other hand, Claudia Tenney avoided questions, made personal attacks, and refused to engage with the issues. Unfortunately the voters saw her for what she really is today, another Washington politician who seeks to divide her constituents rather than bring people together to solve problems.”

Brindisi’s win at the debate today is a clear sign of momentum for his campaign, which recently nearly doubled Tenney’s fundraising.
